Quality Assurance
Paragon burgers, are produced in our purpose built production facility in stringently hygienic conditions. Our committed and experienced staff are regularly trained in both food hygiene and food manufacture. Our quality assurance department checks that we are working consistently to BRC standards and carries out the following on a regular basis:
• Full traceability - from raw materials to finished products, from our suppliers to our customers
• Auditing our own suppliers - including site visits
• Training of all our staff - including Basic Food Hygiene Certification
• Strict temperature control & traceability - temperature recording in all our holding fridges, freezers and delivery vehicles
• Microbiological testing on a daily basis
• Hygienic cleaning and cleaning schedules completed daily
• Internal audits - reporting immediately to the Managing Director
• External laboratory analysis - to verify on record the meat content of each product.
BRC Global Standard ‘Grade A’ approved
Our premises and practices are independently inspected by food experts from the British Retail Consortium. We have been awarded Grade A.
EC Approved
All production plant and machinery has to meet the highest standards, as do all working practices, in accordance with the European Directive for meat processors. Our premises have passed inspection by EHOs and may be ‘spot checked’ without notice.
HACCP
(Hazard Analysis of Critical Control Points)
A fully documented systematic study of each product is made highlighting any processes where hygiene or microbiological risk may occur and making changes where necessary or increasing control to ensure total product safety.
