Beefing Up The Technical Team
Doncaster based Paragon Quality Foods has beefed up its technical division to more efficiently handle the work load following a 30 percent year over year increase in sales.
The standard and Halal burger, doner and chicken shish manufacturer has named Simon Edmonds as its second technical manager. He will share responsibilities for the running of the division with the established technical manager, Jamie Downing.
In addition to handling the increasing requirement for technical liaison with a growing customer base, the two are jointly responsible for food safety, health matters ISO and BRC accreditations, internal audits, food quality systems, factory audits, training and other technical matters.
Both report to managing director, Metin Pekin.
Mr. Edmonds secured a Diploma in Food Management and Safety, plus international food hygiene qualifications at a Yorkshire College and prior to moving to Paragon was quality manager for Greenfield product, a Yorkshire farming business.
