Making Kebabs more Convenient
Packaging has been re-vamped by Paragon Quality Foods to make its Chicken Shish Kebabs more convenient for caterers. Five-kilo buckets have been kicked out in favour of a format which offers 2 x 2.5 kilo bags per box.
Paragon uses size-graded fresh chicken breasts and hand slices them into cubes before placing the meat in a unique, 15-spice marinade. The meat is vacuum tumbled and then vac-packed into 2.5 kg bags and quick frozen, before being boxed.
The marinating process is completed only when caterers have defrosted the units in a chiller overnight.
After defrosting, the kebab meat has seven days life and has a mild and savoury flavour which has proved particularly popular with women customers.
Paragon Chicken Shish Kebab is a low fat, low salt, Halal product which can be served with vegetables on a skewer, in pitta bread and tortilla wraps or on pizza bases and can also be plated for service with vegetables and potatoes, or hash browns.
